Chemical Dynamics in the Gas Phase
Jan Hessler, Glen Macdonald, and Joe Michael are primarily
experimentalists specializing in rate constant measurements of
elementary reactions of interest in combustion temperature.
Jan and Joe specialize in shock tube studies and Glen examines
product distributions in flow tubes.
Michael Davis, Stephen Gray, Lawrence Harding, Ron Shepard,
and Albert Wagner are primarily theoreticians. Larry and Ron
specialize in electronic structure calculations of potential energy
surfaces in combustion. Steve and Al are primarily interested in
dynamics studies (quantum, trajectory, and statistical) of reactions.
Mike is interested in nonlinear dynamics, classifications of highly
vibrationally excited spectra, and dimensionality reduction in
coupled kinetics equations.
